About IMPCT

IMPCT at Hult Prize Clinton Global Initiative Finals

IMPCT is a global social enterprise dedicated to helping urban slum communities build and run high quality and affordable early education franchises that we call Playcares. We were founded in 2014 by four MBA classmates at Taiwan's National Chengchi University in response to that year's $1,000,000 Hult Prize Challenge. We bested 25,000 teams to make it to the global finals hosted at The Clinton Global Initiative's annual general meeting in New York. There we got the chance to pitch our Playcare concept to a distinguished panel of judges, including Nobel Peace Prize laureate Muhammed Yunus and Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard among others. We were honored to be selected by them as that year's winners.

That incredible honor has allowed us to start spreading the power of early education to children throughout Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Soon we'll have five pilot schools up and running in El Salvador, Guatemala, South Africa, and Taiwan. To read more about our Playcare initiative go here.
